Location, Amenities, Value …. Hawthorn Suites. Situated on a lovely lakeside location adjacent to a golf course, Hawthorn has the appearance of a nice quiet resort hotel. Actually this hotel is one of the most efficiently run quality corporate hotels in the area. The many transient hotels nearby simply cannot compete with the quiet, business atmosphere that Hawthorn provides. With the recent addition of our Sam Snead Oak Grill and Tavern the list of services and comforts offered is complete including shuttle, free local and long distance calling, work out facility, self service laundry and so much more. We provide kitchen facilities for those who want to cook in their rooms, but our daily hot buffet breakfast and evening social hour make it less than a necessity. Our suites are about 50% larger than the rooms offered by most of our competitors, so guests actually have the experience of an apartment rather than a tiny hotel room. The spacious living area includes a lighted workspace with phone, a comfortable office chair, sleeper sofa, an upholstered chair, and flat screen televisions. Of course, the bedroom has a television and a telephone, as well. It is the human connection that our guests find to be unique at this hotel. The social offered Monday through Thursday from 5:30 until 7:30 gives our guests more than complimentary drinks, beer, wine, and appetizers.
